Here you’ll discover best nursery gliders. From most affordable with basic features to more advanced and most comfortable.
Nursery gliders are increasingly popular as they are not only a perfect complement to a nursery but also help moms to feed, and dads to rock a baby to sleep and help them relax.
Rocking and gliding your baby is one of the magnificent pleasures of life. The gliding, rocking motion makes a peaceful transition from activity to sleep.
They are perfect for feeding before and after sleeping or night-time feedings or when your baby just needs to be held and helped to sleep which will happen quite often especially in the early days. And a nursery glider is something that will help you do just that.
A glider chair is not a necessity but having one it’s like having a comfortable place not only to nurse, but a place to read bedtime stories every night, and more importantly to cuddle with your baby in the morning, day or in the middle of the night. Moreover, they are great for those days where your little one is not feeling well and wants to be rocked to sleep in your arms.
No matter which one you chose, it should be comfortable enough so you can fall asleep in and not wake up with a stiff neck. Moreover, one that you can you use and won’t be a sore eye once the nursing days are over and you can still enjoy using it. We hope that you’ll find one that’s perfect for you and your baby.
Stork Craft: Most Affordable Nursery Gliders with Ottoman
Stork Craft Nursery Glider with Ottoman is a great choice for someone who is always looking to save money, and who isn’t these days. They offer some of the most affordable gliders for nursery to enjoy.
There are a variety of colors for you to choose from, and regardless of which colorway you decide to go with, it’s going to look fantastic in anywhere in your home whenever you’re planning on using it.
Comfort: The comfort level is average. It isn’t going to leave you in awe with the softness that the cushions hold, but it’s still going to be reasonable enough to rock your baby and does the job well.
The fabric is incredibly soft and made up of microfibers, it’s also one of the most durable ones around (making it even more affordable due to longevity). The glide motion is incredibly smooth and will help you relax a little more – the 20-inch-wide armrests will give some pretty good arm support as well (which is critical for the comfort of both you and your baby).
As if all of that wasn’t enough, it comes equipped with side pockets; you can use these to keep anything you’d like in them! Personally, I prefer personal items (books, your cell phone or even baby feeding accessories).
Functionality: A nursery glider that you’re going to use, needs to be as functional as possible, and it’s important to remember that it glides only. There are no other additional functions that come with it, but the glide motion is going to land about a foot or so away from the rest position. There isn’t too much swing, which is good; but it doesn’t recline either (regardless of that it’s still quite comfortable).
It comes with the Ottoman included, which is intended to add a little bit of extra comfort. There’s no locking option on either the glider or the Ottoman, but you can easily stop the gliding process with your foot (it’s truly one of the easier things to manage with it).
Care: The cushions on the back and seat are “spot cleanable”, so you won’t have to settle for something that looks dirty at any point in time.
You don’t have to constantly worry about keeping it clean, which is always a nice thing to think about. It’s almost like not having to make dinner when you get home from work if only life were always this easy! Any sort of upholstery cleaner will clean problem areas/marks on it.
Putting It Together: The assembly process wasn’t too tricky, although it should take you about 20 minutes or so to finish. The pieces are very light, so the end result isn’t going to be particularly heavy – this makes it very easy to move around.
The maximum weight of this particular model would hover around 250 to 300 pounds!
- It’s very affordable
- It’s also very comfortable
- The glide motion is really smooth
- It’s easy to clean
- Even easier to assemble
- It just looks downright stylish!
- It doesn’t recline
- It also doesn’t swivel
- Doesn’t have a locking mechanism
- Cushions aren’t as thick as on a more expensive model you could compare it to – if you want a much more “plush” type of feeling please see our reviews of more expensive models below.
The Verdict: In the end, this is a good nursery glider for the amount of money you’re paying. For under $150 dollars, you’ll be able to make use of it that both you and your child can grow to love.
Although there are relatively mixed reviews surrounding it, you should know that it’s going to handle your needs (for the most part). It looks and seems to operate just as well as any of the better gliders out there, but the lack of features is pretty obvious.
If you don’t need all of the “glitter and glamor” that come with some of the other gliders we have reviewed here, this could be the perfect fit.
So, if you want something that’s not only affordable but well-crafted and comfier than most at this price point. I would definitely say that is a good choice.

Status Roma: Nursery Glider with Ottoman and a Nursing Stool
Status Roma Nursery Glider with Ottoman and Nursing Stool is almost like the “go to” nursery glider, and I say that because there’s also a slide-out nursing stool that is equipped alongside the Ottoman. That’s right, it’s not just the Ottoman, it’s all about the extendable stool! One of the main selling points would be the fact that it’s so versatile.
Customers will always be drawn towards the more versatile pieces, that’s sort of just how things work – you’ll be able to comfortably relax, with your feet up in the air and your posture as proper as possible.
Whenever you aren’t using the nursing stool, you can just tuck it back in and underneath the Ottoman!
Comfort level: Your comfort level will be kept in high spirits with this glider. It is pretty much like the one we just talked about (that is, the Stork Craft variety) – except this one is going to have a nursing stool included.
This means that while you won’t be able to actually lock the gliding positioner in place, you’ll still be able to remain relaxed and comfortable (all while you’re enjoying the peace and quiet of caring for your child!).
The nursing stool that comes with this nursery glider is great as it allows you to keep your feet rested, and your knees higher – this results in a much better pose and posture in general while sitting down.
It’s very spacious and the gliding motion is a smooth one. At $200 price mark, you’re going to notice that the comforting cushions are a little thinner than more expensive models. Most customers can deal with the fact that they may not get the most comfortable fit possible because they’re saving money on the initial price.
Functionality: It’s a pretty basic nursery glider, and you’ll notice that almost immediately but it’s still going to be a pretty solid option. The nursing stool folds incredibly hidden underneath the Ottoman, you can’t see it at all when you aren’t using it.
It’s also incredibly easy to clean and assemble, which are two things that can be pretty hard to deal with – especially when it comes to gliders. You always want to be able to relax with your baby in comfort, and this one can do that.
- Comes with a folding nursing stool equipped w/ the Ottoman
- Incredibly easy to assemble
- One of the more stylish options out there
- It doesn’t happen to recline
- It also doesn’t swivel
- The cushions may feel a bit thin for some people
- Doesn’t have a gliding process lock system
The Verdict: This is a pretty common type of a nursery glider, and it happens to mimic everything that the first one we reviewed did as well. It’s almost like they added a nursing stool to an old product and decided to sell it as a brand new variety – at least it works well!
It has a few flaws, but it’s still going to get the job done. It isn’t a waste of money by any means, even if the wood can expand and shrink due to temperatures and humidity changes (which may, in turn, cause a little bit of squeaking). If it is squeaking, just give it a little bit of WD-40 (lubrication) and everything will work out.For this price is a fantastic buy if you’re eyeing a something that’s common and a simple, but still, want it to have a nursing stool equipped. This is a good choice. It also happens to come in 5 different styles!
For this price, this is a great buy if you’re eyeing a something that’s common and simple, but still, want it to have a nursing stool equipped. It also happens to come in 5 different styles!
Stork Craft Tuscany Nursery Glider with Ottoman & Free Lumbar Pillow
Stork Craft Tuscany Nursery Glider with Ottoman & Free Lumbar Pillow is not only going to be a comfortable resting spot but also equipped with some of the better accessories that these gliders could have?
Well, that’s exactly what you’re going to get with this particular model, especially since this glider itself is designed to support posture as much as possible. It’s a little pricier than the other ones we’ve taken a look at, but you’re going to understand why that is when everything is said and done.
It’s very soft, and the micro fabric means that the material is completely breathable! It offers a lot of room for sitting down, and the arm cushions are made out of a creative padded polyester blend.
Comfort level: The comfort levels that you experience while using a nursery glider will determine whether your money was well spent or not. I don’t think there is a single person on this planet that would like to be uncomfortable while they’re nursing!
The back of this glider is relatively large, and can accommodate just about anybody and everybody – it can fit a person who is 5’4 or even 6’2. Not only that, but it can support all the way up to 200 pounds! Tall people can rest their heads on the back of the glider and truly feel what it’s like to be comfortable.
There are a lot of things to love about this particular model, and there should be, seeing as its much more expensive than some of the other ones you’ll find on the market. The padding of the armrests is very thick and firm, so there’s no cutting corners in that department – something you would have seen in the cheaper models.
The glide motion is incredibly smooth and never jerks, and the fabric being used is not only attractive but soft and supple as well! The free lumbar pillow is kind of like the cherry on top, and the 20 inches of space between the two armrests means you won’t have to squeeze in at any point in time. Padded arms provide an excellent support your arms while nursing. There are also side pockets that can be used for an efficient means of storage.
Functionality: It only glides, meaning there aren’t any other sort of features to include, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad purchase. The glider is amazingly comfortable, and the gliding process seems like you’re skating on an ice. The fabric is completely stain resistant, and that means stains won’t be a problem sitting in the back off of the glider or armrests any longer. The ottoman that comes with it glides too.
Easily Cleaned: It’s one of the easier to clean, and the assembly process should only take you around 30 or so minutes to accomplish. Not only will you get something that’s functional, but you’ll get a clean-cut and simple one as well.
- You can assemble the entire thing with relative ease
- So lightweight, you won’t have to lug it around your home
- The perfect glider for any room setting
- Incredibly durable, which means it will last you a very long time
- There are side pockets!
- It doesn’t recline
- There’s no locking mechanism located to stop the gliding motion
- The cushions can feel a bit stiff at first, but that will subside after a day or two
- Some customers have mentioned that it makes noise while gliding. However, most of the time the noise is caused by improper assembly or could be solved with some lubricant.
The Verdict: This is a beautiful glider for a nursery or a living room. It’s going to bring together just about any room you could imagine. It goes with just about anything, and the lumbar pillow makes it so that comfortability is never an issue. The side pockets allow you to make use of burp hankies (cloths) or even diapers if need be – this is a glider that has tried to think of everything in order to benefit you. It’s really easy to get up and out of it, and it feels (as well as looks) just as beautiful as some of the “upper end” models around.
If you want a nursery glider that is reasonable in both the price and the features that it has to offer, you’d be hard-pressed to refuse this particular one. Available in 6 different finishes of wood, as well as 8 original fabric colors.
Right now this glider seems to be exclusively priced for Amazon Prime Members. We don’t know how long it’ll last but you can click on this link to see if the offer is still valid.
Semi-Upholstered Glider for Nursery with Nursing Stool and Ottoman
Graco Parker Semi-Upholstered Glider and Nursing Ottoman offers extra comfort without the extra cost. Extra comfort usually means you’re going to have to pay a little extra, but that should be okay in most cases. If you’re picky enough to want a lot of comfort (and trust me, being picky in this case isn’t a bad thing at all) – you should be willing to pay for it.
The fully upholstered arms allow the most relaxed experience possible to take place, and that’s a very big deal.
There’s also a nursing stool equipped alongside this product, and it sits underneath the Ottoman when it isn’t in use. This is a very high-quality product nursery glider, it’s using microfibers to keep things bacteria free (and sweat free!). The fabric is spot cleanable, so you keep the look beautiful and fresh at all times.
Solid construction and made from high-quality wood (which is certified by the JPMA, the ASTM and even the CPSC).
You can get this one in a variety of colors, but a lot of people just like it for the contemporary style that they present. It’s almost like the perfect blend between old and modern gliders.
- The gliding motion is incredibly smooth compared to some of the other ones you’ll see on the market
- It has a very easy-to-use nursing stool underneath the Ottoman
- Very easy to assemble, even if you’re not a handy person
- Stylish, so you can make use of it in even the classiest settings!
- Spot cleanable for those who are serious about their hygiene requirements
- Only the glider and the ottoman glide
- It doesn’t recline, which is a need for some people
- It doesn’t swivel
- There’s no locking mechanism to stop the gliding motion
- There are no side pockets, either
Available in 3 colors.
Swivel Rocking Glider for Nursery
Baby Relax Swivel Rocking Glider Wingback Style is one of the most comfortable nursery gliders on the market. Being on a budget can be a buzz kill sometimes, but that isn’t the case when you’re shopping for a comfortable nursery glider that is perfect for you and your baby. You never want to sacrifice the style that your gliding chair is going to have, but you want the price to be reasonable on top of everything else.
The swivel and rocking movements are actually kind of sleep-inducing for me as well. The glider is completely covered with 100% polyester, which is a rather durable fabric; but it’s still soft to the touch (it feels almost as if it was made out of velvet).
It looks “classy”, but it still maintains modern roots. It’s very easy to clean, and the 100% polyester build won’t soak up any nasty spills. It only comes in one color, which would be neutral taupe – this means that it can pretty much fit in most color schemes.
It’s sturdy and reliable. The back has the perfect height for just about everybody, even for 5’10” person, allowing to rest comfortably on it and you won’t get a stiff feeling in your neck when you fall asleep in it.
It uses a “wingback style”, which is awesome because it gives your head a little more support if you fall asleep or want to take a little nap.
Wingbacks are usually going to run you a decent amount of cash, with the average one tallying up a price of about $600 (or more!). This glider is amazing for the price that it’s been listed for, and that’s why I feel like it’s the top one around.
This one actually not only rock but swivels as well! A lot of the ones we’ve reviewed before haven’t had this feature included. Everything is padded for comfort, meaning the armrests and cushions together.
The seat has a width of about 32 inches, while the depth comes in at 31.5 inches so there is plenty of room side to side to feed your baby comfortably. If you have to grab anything while your baby is sleeping, the swivel feature will come in handy (on numerous occasions, mind you). It assembles with ease, although it doesn’t recline – I guess it’s a fair trade-off for being so comfortable, as well as being able to swivel. Easy to clean and the 100% polyester fabric won’t soak in spit-up. All in all a great glider for a nursery.
FLASH REVIEW: Dorel Baby Relax Emmett Button Tufted Upholstered Swivel Glider Chair would be another reasonable choice for anybody who is looking for a modern nursery glider.
Modern looks are going to be sought after more often than not, because who wants to look like they’re caring for their children in the 50’s? I understand that a lot of people like class, but this product does a great job of fusing both worlds together – the design itself is as modern as they come, but the fabric is as soft and classy as most high-end options would mimic. It swivels with the quietest motions you could imagine, and while the arms sit somewhat low (which some wouldn’t prefer), it’s still comfortable enough to be used with or without a pillow.
For some people, the back of the glider sits a little low, 17″ tall from the cushion to the top. So a taller individual might have to use a pillow to support your head fully.
Check out the dimensions of this product:
Overall: 37.25″ H x 30.5″ W x 33″ D
Seat: 20.5″ H x 21″ W x 21.5″ D
Arms: 24.5″ H x 4″ W x 31.25″ D
While it does both glide and swivel, it does not recline. It also doesn’t come with an Ottoman, let alone a nursing stool to go along with that. It does, however, come in two different colors! You can get this nursery glider it in either coffee or gray – the choice is yours.
Built for Comfort: Upholstered Swivel Nursery Glider Recliner
Baby Relax Mikayla Upholstered Swivel Glider and Recliner is built for exceptional comfort. One of the most comfortable nursery gliders on the market. Moreover, it’s well-priced for the product you’re getting, and it has ALL of the most important features around. It’s perfect for just about anything, whether it be sitting, sleeping or downright nursing!
The height of the glider can completely support the head of somebody who is 5’2” tall all the way up to 6’4”. Regardless of your height (in most cases), you’ll be able to sit down in it and feel completely comfortable.
You can reach the floor while in recliner mode in order to rock it back and forth with ease, and the gliding motion never jerks – it’s always as smooth as possible. The armrests are nothing to complain about.
Very modern design with a sturdy metal frame. The fabric is durable, soft, high end, it feels like velvet and doesn’t take up a lot of space.
Dimensions of the product:
Entire Dimensions: 41.75” Height x 30” Width x 37” Depth
Seating Dimensions: 21.5” Height x 21” Width x 22.5” Depth
There are only 2 pieces to put together.
All in all, it is fantastic. In fact, one of the best gliders for nursery to sit down with your baby in, and just rock back and forth. It’s very stylish and looks a lot pricier than it is, so odds are you’ll be completely satisfied with the quality. It also comes in two colors!
Baby Relax Rylan Swivel Glider Recliner
Baby Relax Rylan Swivel Glider Recliner is another excellent choice. Similar to the one I talked about above. Just a different style. It looks great, has incredibly soft (microfiber) fabric, and more importantly, is very comfortable and functional.
One of the great things about this one is that it provides incredible lower back/lumbar support which is so important while breastfeeding.
The swivel and gliding are very smooth and quiet. With the customizable reclining, you’ll always find a perfect comfort level. And it doesn’t require effort to hold the recline in place.
One of the few nursery gliders that offer a lot of sitting room. With the very nice wide armrests (about 22 inches) you will feel very comfortable with your baby and there will be some space for a baby bottle or other nursing accessories.
The back of the chair is about 25 inches. Which is high enough for someone who is 5’10” to fully rest their head on it. If you’re taller than that you will have to ‘scoot down’ a bit to fully rest your head.
Assembly is simple but 2 people are needed. All you need to do is attach the back to the base. Do not pay the ‘extra assembly’ that many online retailers offer because it’s not worth.
Sturdy and very well made. The slim design is perfect even for a smaller-sized nursery.
Great glider for nursery in terms of reclining, gliding and swiveling. Perfect for feeding and soothing LO. Highly recommend to anybody who wants a nursery glider that reclines and swivels. Especially for this price.
Delta Children Upholstered Glider Chair
Delta Children Upholstered Glider is a perfect glider for a small nursery. It is a go-to choice for anybody who is looking to keep the amount of space they use limited. With this one, you’re going to even forget that it’s there at times – that seems like an exaggeration, but it’s very compact and still maintains a good level of comfort.
In the end, you want to shoot for the most comfortable option that money can bring to you.
It’s just a bit over $200, which means that this one it’s going to remain one of the more affordable.
Check out these dimensions:
Assembled: 35.75” Height x 32.5” Width x 30.25” Depth
Seating: 18” Height x 20” Width x 21” Depth
There’s no need to struggle with the worries of squeaking and noise, as this one will operate like darkness in the night. It’s a very relaxing sensation to sit in it, and the thickly padded armrests make sure that your elbows don’t get sore during the entire endeavor. It should hold up well with time, but like anything else, there are a few things to watch out for. The steel frame is going to improve upon the longevity, but a stiff cushion (that will soften over time) could push some people away.
The backrest was comfortable for many people, but there were still a few reviews that talked about it being a little too straight – if you prefer recliners and angled back rests, this isn’t for you.
It comes in simple packaging, and assembly instructions can be found inside of the box; it took me about 35 minutes to completely put it together. It doesn’t come with an Ottoman, so don’t get your hopes up, there’s also no lock system function set in place. It’s still reasonably priced though! Available in two colors.
A similar swivel glider that comes with ottoman is available at a slightly higher price. Click here for more info.
Affordable Swivel Glider Chair and Ottoman
Baby Relax Kelcie Swivel Glider with Ottoman: affordable for what this nursery swivel glider does at this price point is the keyword here. This is a great choice if you don’t want to spend $500+ on a nursery glider and still, want to enjoy exceptional comfort and quality.
As long you understand (and I’ll cover all the pros and cons) what it will and will not do for you, you’ll be very happy with this choice. Mind you, not all gliding chairs are build to make everyone happy.
First off, if not for the negative reviews regarding assembly this gliding rocking chair hands down would have easily been a 5 stars product. I’ll explain it in details the in the ‘assembly’ section.
Comfort level: after all, that’s what most moms and dads are looking for when shopping for a nursery glider. And you won’t be disappointed here.
The swivels and glide motion are flawless. It makes no noise. The cushion is on the firm side, but not uncomfortable.
The seat from inside one armrest to the other is about 20 inches. So the is plenty of room even if are planning on using a nursing pillow.
One of the most important questions that parents ask is ‘will I be able to lean back and rest my head while sitting in it”.
With this particular model if you’re around 5’3″ you will be able to lean back and rest your head while sitting.
If you’re on the taller side, let’s say 5’10 and above, it won’t be uncomfortable but you’ll have to scoot down a bit to fully rest your head on the back. The gliding ottoman is a huge help and in fact, many tall people feel very comfortable in it. Again, as long as you understand what it can and can not do for you, you’ll be very happy with it.
To give you an idea if it will work for you, the measurement from the seat to the top is approximately 21 inches.
Moreover, it glides and swivels 360 degrees. And you’ll love the fact that the ottoman glides as well. So useful while feeding a baby so you can scoot down, find the perfect comfort level and enjoy the glide.
Other than that the glider is very sturdy and very well built. Really good quality. It has beautiful super soft upholstery.
Care: The fabric is Micro Fiber. It cleans up very easily even if you have had milk and spit-up on it a number of times. You can wipe it right off with a cloth. Moreover, the seat cushion can be lifted out and removed for cleaning. They have a velcro strip to hold it in place. So you don’t have to worry about any permanent stains.
Assembly: It’s fairly easy to assemble but you have to pay attention to the instructions. It shouldn’t take more than 30 min. What you need to pay attention to while assembling it is NOT to tighten the screws on the first go. As you assemble all the parts, don’t tighten the screws because if you do that, you’ll most probably end up in a situation that the holes won’t line up. If you take your time and follow the instructions, you should end up with a perfect glider for a nursery that glides and swivels with no noise.
There are a few other things that you should be aware of. I’m not listing them as cons, just something along the FYI lines. Like I said, as long as you understand what it will and won’t do for you, and it suits your needs, you’ll be very happy with this choice.
- It does not recline
- You can not lock the glider or ottoman so it doesn’t glide
- And the ottoman doesn’t open for storage
Overall: An excellent value if you don’t want to spend a ton of money. An excellent nursery glider on the market at this price point for what it does.
Modern Nursery Glider Swivel and Rocker
Delta Children Emerson Glider, Swivel, and Rocker is another fantastic choice, very similar to the one that I have mentioned above except it is a bit more sophisticated in terms of modern look, the diamond tufted pattern on the back seems like something irresistible and more importantly comfort. Combine comfort with a great look and you have a winning product!
This nursery glider is comfortable and there is plenty of room for you and your LO and a nursing pillow just in case they need something extra to make them comfortable.
Beautify crafted with a soft wingback silhouette. For extra comfort, the seat cushion is about 6.5″ thick. This is as good as it can get. Not to mention the thickly padded armrests.
The backrest is about 26.5″ high so it should work very well for short and tall people.
Build with a sturdy frame and durable steel to ensure whisper quite gentle glide and swivel motion. One of the nursing gliders that you’ll enjoy for years to come.
The seat cushion is removable for easy cleaning. Just keep in mind that it does not recline and does not come with an ottoman. If you don’t mind that, you’ll be surprised with the comfort level it has to offer. It is available in 3 colors.
Top Shermag Gliders
Shermag Gliders, the winner of ‘What Expecting Moms Love Awards’. This Shermag Rocker Combo is literally one of the most comfortable mid-range nursery glider I’ve ever used. And I say that because I really care about the things I’m sitting in (nursing is a tough job, trust me). The gliding motion is competitive when it comes to beating the rest, but it’s still really quiet; it’s also a very budget conscious and fashionable piece. This isn’t your typical nursery glider; this is one that’s going to stick with you for more than a few years.
The cushions are thick and fluffy, something that you can really get into – you can also lock the gliding motion at 6 different positions if you choose to. The one thing that sucks is the fact that it doesn’t recline, but it makes up for that with every other feature included. This is a very helpful product for when you’re going through the breastfeeding stages!
Comfort/Functionality: Whether you happen to be on the larger or smaller scale of things (physically) doesn’t play a huge role here, as this glider can handle just about any type of frame you might sit on it. That’s right, all of those size 18 ladies out there can still comfortably sit in it! It’s also fantastic for those of us who happen to be on the taller side, 6’2. There’s an Ottoman included, and it stands about 13 inches in height, so it’s the perfect placement option for your feet in a recliner.
It can be cleaned as if it could never truly get dirty, as the microfiber cloth will make sure any sort of bacteria will be well accounted for. There’s bound to be some sort of spill or mess at some point, and this makes it easy to clean up. It’s also very easy to assemble yourself.
- Its construct consists of very strong wood, and it should last you for years upon years
- It’s got very soft and plush fabric
- The armrests are relatively high, so rocking your baby to sleep will be easier than ever
- You can lock it into a stationary position
- There are storage units built into the padded arms themselves, which means you can keep certain items close by
- It’s very easy to assemble
- It doesn’t have a reclining feature, even though the back has a natural recline of its own
- The Ottoman doesn’t lock alongside with the glider
- The Ottoman might be a bit low for some people
Final Verdict: Great choice. You don’t have to struggle setting up this bad boy up, and you can relax in style when everything is finally put together! Not only can you rely on it, but you can even go about buying it in two different colors!
Price for Shermag Glider Rocker Combo ~ $323.95
Shermag Nursery Glider Rocker Combo is a newer version of the model above. There are a number of features that make this nursery glider exceptional.
Not a lot of gliders at price point have a locking feature to stop the gliding motion. This one does. There are about 5 different positions. So you can rest assured that you’ll always find the perfect comfortable position while feeding your baby of just relaxing in it watching TV or reading a book. Very easy to get in or out even with a sleeping baby.
Also at this price range, the cushions are pretty thick. About 3-5 inches. No need to worry that you’ll feel the wood underneath. The thick cushions along with wide seating area (26 inches) make this nursery glider VERY comfortable. The fabric is a microfiber and the cushions are removable for easy cleaning.
And if this isn’t enough, the gliding motion is very smooth and quiet. And it has storage pockets on the sides too.
Just keep in mind that it does not recline but to compensate for that it does lock in multiple positions. Also, the ottoman does not lock.
An excellent alternative to Dutailier (we call it the ‘Cadillac’ of gliding chairs, see our review and video below) except you’ll be paying half of the price. Available in a variety of colors.
Dutailier Nursery Gliders with Multiposition Recline and Ottoman
Dutailier Modern Glider Multiposition Recline and Ottoman is built for an exceptional comfort, they called it the ‘Cadillac’ of nursery gliders. And there a is a reason for that. Outstanding, made in America quality. You’ll enjoy it for years to come. It is very sturdy and has all the features you’d want in a nursery glider. Some of these would happen to be:
- The ability to multi-position recline
- The locking mechanism that can lock your glide
- Incredibly thick cushions that are meant to be as comfortable as they can
- Padded arms that are thick and comfortable
It’s pretty much got everything you could ever hope for. It’s an amazing glider to help you care for your baby, or even just sit down and watch TV in it – it’s also available for purchase in 3 different colors.
Comfort/Features: This is a very (‘very’ would be an understatement) comfortable glider. And the glide motion that both the glider and the ottoman go through is awesome! It feels like you’re skating on ice, except you’re sitting down! It isn’t noisy at all.
One of the most impressive aspects of this product would be the multi-position recline. It allows you to find the perfect position while feeding your baby or just trying to relax in it by yourself reading a book or watching TV. Just sit back, close your eyes and enjoy it.
This one will start to recline almost as soon as you lean back, which doesn’t occur in most other models. There aren’t any sharp edges that might harm you or your child, and the finish is completely free of any toxins you could think of.
The built-in lock mechanism is also a nice little touch, as you’ll be able to stop it whenever you please. It functions extremely well, as it: Glides, Reclines and even locks into a Multi-Position Recline! See video below.
Easy to clean. Easy to assemble
- Very comfortable would be an understatment – it is exceptional!
- Glides with ease, you don’t need to fight it (not at all)
- Reclines in a very simple/efficient manner
- There’s a multi-position lock mechanism
- It’s very, very easy to clean
- The solid hardwood frame promotes longevity
- It’s very stylish for such a simple product
- Doesn’t have any swiveling actions
Final Verdict: With everything I’ve just said, this is obviously an outstanding glider. A perfect for a nursery or everyday use. It isn’t going to be easy on your bank balance, but it’s still going to offer up a lot of joy in your life! The lack of cons would be pretty obvious in this situation.

This is a product that is equipped with one of two different types of cushions, those being the “A” variety and the “C” variety. You’ll see this more than a few times when you’re looking through Dutailier gliders, and we’ll get to that a bit later.
The key thing to remember here is that there’s actually a retractable footrest within this combo (like the one in the demo video above).
That’s right; you can move your foot rest around as you please with the push of your toes.
The footrest also stops the Ottoman from gliding around, which is very useful for when you want to relax in a still setting. It’s also incredibly useful if you’re trying to find that “perfect spot” for feeding your child.
Other than the things we’ve already listed, it’s pretty much full-featured, like the other high-end gliders we’ve reviewed today. It reclines and it’s even got a locking mechanism to secure your gliding process, which is something a lot of people keep an eye out for.
This happens to be one of the very few gliders out right now that will allow you to recline, while you’re still gliding. It’s a very reliable glider, built for both sturdiness and comfort – the average height will have no problem fitting in it, and neither will a 6” tall (or so) person.
The fabric used in the creation process is easily cleaned as well, which is a critical must for all moms out there! We know babies can make a mess, that’s just nature. There’s also 2 awesome colors to pick from! You don’t have to settle for just one.
Cushions are critical, and you might be wondering what “A” and “C” happen to be. Well, it doesn’t have anything to do with the quality, the “A” and “C” indicates a different shape of the cushions.
Naomi Deluxe Multiposition Glider with Ottoman
Naomi Deluxe Multiposition Glider is a wonderful selection for many different reasons, and it’s the type of glider chair that will turn breastfeeding into the most relaxing experience you could ever have.
It might sound strange, but it’s true! You could even just use this glider to lull your children to sleep, by rocking them back and forth. It’s a unique glider, and I like the fact that there is a very thick layer of padding located within the cushions (and armrests).
Most of the other gliders you’ll come across won’t even be able to come to this level of comfort/padding at this price.
Comfort/Features: The seat is very large, and it can fit just about any able-bodied person inside of it. The width in between the two inner armrests would be about 24 inches, which is more than enough space to feel comfortable at any rate. The seat also has a depth of 2 feet, which will allow you to sink in with ease – the back stands about 27 inches tall as well. That’s tall enough to rest your head on, whether you’re gliding or not. The side pockets are incredibly convenient as well, as it’s almost like having a personal storage unit on your side!
Moreover, it has multi-locking mechanism too to stop it from moving.
Easily Cleaned/Assembled: This is a very easy-to-use glider, you don’t have the go through an entire hassle trying to put it together and that’s going to resonate in more than one way. Assembly shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes, and the micro fabrics used in these gliders allow them to be cleaned with ease.
Final Verdict: There aren’t many negative traits to this nursery glider. And that leads a lot of people to lean towards buying this one. The Ottoman might be a little too short for some of you out there, and the lack of recline might be a factor for some. Regardless, it’s still a fantastic choice for the price you’re paying! It also comes in 4 different styles.
